Friday Affirmation for Me Time without Guilt

guiltMe time without guilt. Yes, you read that right!

As we enter the Holiday Season we find ourselves getting busier, and busier, and busier…

There is a lot to be done, and it will all happen. Somehow.

We tend to push ourselves to the side as we plan what we are doing for everyone.

In this busy time it can be very hard to remember that we need a little downtime to, just for ourselves, and no it is not selfish.

I know that I’m a lot nicer to be around when I’m well rested and caring for myself first, that’s my gift to others 😉

So take the following affirmation and give it serious consideration, implement this weekend.

Even if you only have an hour alone in the bathtub (ok….maybe half an hour, whatever works for you and give you those few minutes to just be.)

Alright, here we go. Read these out loud, write them down, or print them out and post them where you will be reminded on a regular basis.

I am devoting some me time without guilt to my schedule.

Each week I am adding myself to my planner so I can take time out for me. I do this because I value my health and well-being. My body, mind, and spirit benefit when I recharge my batteries.

I make dates with myself to spend time away from every day tasks.

I am important enough to be in my calendar. if I didn’t formally designate a time for myself, I would invariably find something else to do.

“Me” time is for me to do whatever I please, free from guilt or pressure.

Often, I simply relax with a cup of tea. Other times, I take a warm bath and soak away my troubles. Going for a walk is another enjoyable way to burn my stress.

During my moments alone, I spend time developing myself as an individual. I devote time to fine-tuning my talents. Sometimes I use the time to improve myself as a professional.

The people around me know I enjoy my time alone.

I spend time alone to energize myself and live my life to its fullest potential.

Self-Reflection Questions:

  1. What gets in the way of my alone time?
  2. What types of activities do I enjoy doing by myself?
  3. How do I benefit from time alone?

Continue to practice me time without guilt on a daily basis, even after the hectic holidays are over, you will notice a difference in how you feel almost immediately. Stress-free. Relaxed.

Remember, every little bit counts, every small step makes a difference!
